　　鍋爐是一（yī）種能量轉換（huàn）設備，向（xiàng）鍋爐輸入的能量有燃料中的化學能、電（diàn）能、高溫煙氣的熱能等（děng）形式，而經（jīng）過鍋爐轉換，向外輸出具有一定熱能的蒸汽、高溫（wēn）水（shuǐ）或有機熱載體。多用於火電站、船舶、機車和工礦企（qǐ）業。

　　鍋爐（lú）的主要工作原（yuán）理是一種利用燃料燃燒後釋放的熱能或（huò）工業生（shēng）產中的餘熱傳遞給容器內的水，使水達到所需要的溫度或一定壓力蒸汽的（de）熱力設備。鍋爐在“鍋”與“爐”兩部分同時進行，水進入鍋爐以後（hòu），在汽水係（xì）統中鍋爐受（shòu）熱麵將吸收的熱量（liàng）傳遞給水，使水加熱成一定溫度和（hé）壓（yā）力（lì）的熱（rè）水或生成蒸汽，被引出（chū）應用。在燃燒設備部分，燃料燃（rán）燒不斷放出熱量，燃燒產生（shēng）的高溫煙氣通過熱的傳播，將熱量傳遞給鍋（guō）爐受熱麵，而本身溫（wēn）度逐漸降低，最（zuì）後由煙囪排出。
